How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Account Executive

    Hybrid

Our client is a long‑established, trusted voice within the UK’s performing arts sector, known for authoritative industry coverage, deep sector relationships and a highly engaged professional audience. Their commercial platforms span digital, print and directory products, giving advertisers a targeted route to reach decision‑makers across theatre and live performance.

They are now looking for a talented, multi‑skilled Account Executive to drive display advertising revenue across multiple channels. This role focuses on acquiring new clients, re‑engaging lapsed accounts, and proactively selling advertising and promotional opportunities across our display and supplier directory portfolio.

    Responsibilities

    * Identify and target new commercial opportunities to grow revenue

    * Build strong relationships with prospective clients through outreach and networking

    * Create tailored sales proposals that meet client objectives

    * Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, pitching, negotiating and closing

    * Maintain accurate CRM records, including pipeline management, order confirmations and invoicing

    * Provide timely follow‑up on all advertising enquiries via phone, email and face‑to‑face

    * Represent the organisation at meetings, industry occasions and events (including occasional out‑of‑hours commitments)

    * Maintain a strong understanding of advertising products, competitor offerings and market conditions

    * Propose new solutions and strategies based on client and industry feedback

    * Learn and present new technologies to clients where relevant

    * Work collaboratively with the wider sales team to share insights and generate leads

    * Participate in team meetings and report on personal sales activity

    * Collaborate with internal teams to create integrated campaigns

    Experience required

    * Demonstrable experience in media sales (at least 6 months)

    * Strong negotiation and presentation skills

    * Familiarity with media planning and advertising metrics

    * Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office

    * An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills

    * Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment

    * Professional, ethical, empathetic and respectful

    * Reflective and open to continuous improvement

    * Interested in theatre and performing arts (preferred but not essential)
