Warehouse Operative

Tennial Personnel are actively searching for a Warehouse Operative to join our client's busy warehouse team based in Felixstowe on a temporary to permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and growing business that offers long-term career prospects and ongoing training. Following the successful completion of a 12-week probationary period, successful candidates will be offered a permanent contract.

This position involves working a shift pattern of either 6am to 2:30pm or 8:30am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

The role involves a variety of warehouse duties, including order picking, stock handling, loading and unloading deliveries, and maintaining an organised warehouse environment. The successful candidate will primarily operate a High Level Order Picker (HLOP) to retrieve stock from warehouse racking.

Previous experience operating a High Level Order Picker (HLOP) and holding a valid HLOP licence would be advantageous; however, this is not essential, as full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Please note: This position involves working at height whilst operating the High Level Order Picker.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate a High Level Order Picker (HLOP) safely and efficiently to pick and retrieve stock from warehouse racking.
Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders accurately and within required timescales.
Load and unload deliveries while ensuring goods are handled safely and securely.
Move, organise, and store stock throughout the warehouse.
Carry out stock checks and assist with inventory control when required.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
Follow all company health and safety procedures and warehouse operating standards.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve daily productivity targets.

Skills Required

Previous warehouse experience is essential.
Good attention to detail and the ability to work accurately.
Comfortable working at height.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills and undertake training.

Qualifications Required
A valid High Level Order Picker (HLOP) and Counterbalance licence is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Any previous warehouse or logistics-related qualifications or certifications would be beneficial but are not essential.
A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.
