How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: Installation Administrator

    Job Overview:

    The Installation Administrator provides comprehensive administrative support to the installation team, and the wider department. Responsible for ensuring that installation projects are accurately and efficiently administered from initial instruction through to completion. This includes maintaining install spreadsheet, coordinating schedules, communicating with customers, engineers, suppliers and internal teams, monitoring documentation and ensuring that information is kept up to date throughout the installation process.

    The role is primarily administrative and requires excellent organisation, attention to detail and communication skills, together with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a busy environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Provide day-to-day administrative support to the installation and project teams.

    * Ensure all relevant project information, documentation and correspondence is recorded and filed appropriately.

    * Update project information throughout the installation process and ensure records and spreadsheet remain accurate and current.

    * Prepare documentation, reports, schedules and other information required by the installation and project teams.

    * Assist with the preparation and distribution of installation paperwork and information.

    * Coordinate installation dates and schedules with customers, engineers, installation teams and other relevant stakeholders.

    * Assist with arranging site visits, deliveries and other activities required to support installations.

    * Monitor schedules and highlight any changes, delays or issues to the appropriate person.

    * Liaise with engineers and installation teams to ensure they have the information required to carry out their work.

    * Assist with coordinating access arrangements, customer requirements and site information.

    * Assist with the administration of parts and equipment required for installations.

    * Raise and track purchase orders and supplier orders as required.

    * Liaise with suppliers regarding order status, delivery dates and outstanding items.

    * Monitor deliveries and highlight potential delays that may affect installation dates.

    * Assist the installation and project teams in identifying outstanding materials or requirements.

    * Follow up outstanding documentation, paperwork or actions.

    * Assist with ensuring records are complete and ready for invoicing, reporting or future reference.

    Details:

    * Fully office-based, Maidstone

    * Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 (with 1 hour lunch)

    * 23 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing with length of service up to 26 days

    Experience Required:

    * Previous experience in an administrative role

    * Comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment

    * Confident communication skills with excellent customer service awareness

    * Excellent attention to detail with ability to identify inefficiencies

    * Basic numerical ability with good IT proficiency (including Microsoft Office and Excel)

    * A strong team player with a proactive and positive approach to work

    * A background within engineering/FM/contractor industries would be beneficial to hit the ground running
