How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    An established Building Services consultancy is looking for an experienced M&E CAD Technician to join its growing technical team.

    The Role

    As an M&E CAD Technician, you will support the Mechanical and Electrical design teams by producing accurate and high-quality 2D CAD drawings for building services projects.

    You will work closely with engineers, project leads and other technicians to ensure drawing packages are delivered accurately, efficiently and to the required standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Produce, amend and maintain 2D CAD drawings for Mechanical and Electrical building services.

    * Support engineers with drawing packages for tender, construction and as-built stages.

    * Produce schematics, layouts and standard details.

    * Ensure drawings and documentation comply with company and industry standards.

    * Manage drawing files using established naming conventions and document control procedures.

    * Coordinate drawings with other disciplines to ensure fully integrated project outputs.

    * Update and modify existing drawings as project requirements develop.

    * Work across multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and deadlines.

    Requirements

    * Strong proficiency in 2D AutoCAD.

    * Previous experience working within an M&E / Building Services environment.

    * Good understanding of Mechanical and/or Electrical building services layouts.

    * Experience producing schematics, layouts and standard details.

    * Previous experience working on building projects within a consultancy or contractor environment.

    * Good understanding of CAD standards and document control.

    * Excellent attention to detail and a consistent approach to drawing production.

    * Strong communication and organisational skills.

    * Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
