How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Are you looking to join a large organisation that provides job security, whilst in a highly rewarding role?

    We are looking for a Facilities Engineer to join a global manufacturing business based in Hampshire. Our client is committed to producing high-quality food products while maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

    As the sites facilities engineer, it will be your responsibility to oversee utilities and general site services within a food manufacturing facility. You will need to have a strong electrical engineering background and experience in maintaining plant operations, ensuring compliance, and ensuring that we meet our safety and hygiene standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Perform daily meter readings and liaise with suppliers for utilities upkeep

    * Conduct daily utility checks and analyse performance

    * Update the utilities service schedule and perform daily boiler checks

    * Operate boilers in accordance with BOAS and conduct absorption chiller operation checks

    * Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations

    * Managing our wastewater treatment plant

    * Oversee MBR & RO Plant Operations, Water Softening Plant, Cooling Tower Operations, and Legionella Controls

    * Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly PPM on site services, equipment, and processes

    * Monitor chemical stock levels and reorder supplies as needed

    Experience required:

    * Electrical engineering qualification

    * 17th edition qualified

    * Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies

    * Familiarity with safe working practices and hygiene standards in a food environment

    * Minimum of 3 years of experience in a site facilities/site services
