We are currently looking for an experienced Stick Welder for a school project in Saxmundham. This is an immediate start for a skilled welder with strong experience in Stick/MMA welding and the relevant coded welding certificates.
The Role
The successful candidate will be carrying out stick welding works externally at a school, working with steel and completing welding duties to a high standard.
Duties will include:
* Stick/MMA welding on steel
* Carrying out welding and fabrication works as required
* Working from drawings, measurements and site instructions
* Preparing and cleaning materials prior to welding
* Ensuring welds meet the required quality standards
* Working safely around other trades and site personnel
* Following all site health and safety procedures
* Maintaining a clean and safe working area
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Stick Welder / MMA Welder
* Coded welding certificates are essential
* Experience welding steel
* Previous construction or commercial site experience preferred
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Own tools and PPE
* Reliable and available to start immediately
Pay & Duration
£31 per hour
Approximately 2 weeks' work
