How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Press Brake Operator

    Location: Stafford
    Job Type: Temporary to Permanent
    Pay: £13.00 per hour
    Hours: 38 Hours per Week | Monday to Thursday

    Taylor Blackwood Associates are currently recruiting for an experienced Press Brake Operator on behalf of a well-established manufacturing company based in Stafford.

    The Role

    As a Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating Press Brake machinery to produce high-quality metal components while ensuring production targets and quality standards are achieved.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Set up and operate Press Brake machinery to bend and form metal components

    * Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders

    * Select the correct tooling, dies, and machine settings for each job

    * Load, position, and align materials accurately to specification

    * Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to ensure consistent quality

    * Inspect finished parts using measuring equipment and quality standards

    * Carry out routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting

    * Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment

    * Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production targets and deadlines

    Candidate Requirements

    To be considered for this role, applicants should have:

    * Previous Press Brake operating experience (essential)

    * The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation

    * Strong measuring, numerical, and problem-solving skills

    * Experience using measuring and inspection equipment

    * Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

    * A good understanding of health and safety procedures within a manufacturing environment

    * A proactive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
