How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We’re looking for an experienced and detail-focused PCB Inspector to join our team in Bedford. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong eye for detail and a background in electronics manufacturing, PCB inspection or quality control.

    The Role

    As a PCB Inspector, you’ll be responsible for inspecting assembled printed circuit boards to ensure they meet our quality standards and customer requirements. You’ll identify defects, carry out visual and technical inspections, and work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Inspect PCBs and electronic assemblies for defects and workmanship standards.

    * Carry out visual inspection of components, solder joints and assemblies.

    * Identify and document faults, defects and non-conformances.

    * Work from drawings, specifications and inspection criteria.

    * Use appropriate inspection equipment and tools.

    * Liaise with production and engineering teams to investigate and resolve issues.

    * Maintain accurate inspection and quality records.

    * Ensure products meet required quality and industry standards.

    * Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives.

    About You

    We’re looking for someone who is:

    * Experienced in PCB inspection, electronics manufacturing or a similar quality role.

    * Ideally certified to IPC standard in the past, or have had expose to IPC Class 1, 2 and 3 standards

    * Highly detail-oriented with excellent attention to quality.

    * Comfortable working from technical drawings and specifications.

    * Able to identify soldering, component placement and assembly defects.

    * Methodical, reliable and organised.
