How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Multiskilled Pump Engineer – London / M25

    £30,000 – £60,000 DOE | Monday – Friday | Company Van | Overtime | Callout

    Are you a Pump Engineer or Multiskilled Engineer with strong mechanical and electrical experience?

    Looking for a company that has a steady workload, plenty of overtime and the flexibility to recognise engineers who genuinely know what they're doing?

    We're recruiting for an established facilities management business with 800+ commercial sites across London and the M25.

    Due to continued growth, they're looking to add experienced Multiskilled Pump Engineers to the team.

    What You'll Be Doing

    You'll work across a varied portfolio of commercial properties, carrying out:

    * Planned preventative maintenance

    * Reactive maintenance

    * Breakdown response

    * Pump servicing and repairs

    * Mechanical fault finding

    * Electrical fault finding

    * Equipment replacements

    * Installation works

    * General maintenance associated with pump systems

    You'll be working across commercial offices, NHS sites, care homes and large residential developments, so no two days will necessarily be the same.

    The Package

    * £30,000 – £60,000 salary, depending on experience

    * Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 17:30

    * Overtime available

    * Weekend overtime paid at 1.5x

    * 1 in 3 callout

    * £100 standby payment

    * Door-to-door paid for callouts

    * Travel paid after the first hour each way

    * VW Transporter company van

    * Fuel card

    * Company tools

    * Company mobile phone

    * 22 days annual leave + Bank Holidays

    * Monthly performance-based bonus/incentive

    * Full training and development

    * Career progression opportunities

    * Stable commercial workload

    The Person

    We're looking for someone with genuine hands-on experience working with pumps and mechanical systems.

    You don't necessarily need every qualification under the sun. The key thing is your ability to diagnose problems, fault find and fix equipment properly.

    We're particularly interested in engineers with:

    Pump engineering experience

    Mechanical maintenance experience

    Electrical fault-finding ability

    Commercial FM experience

    Reactive maintenance experience

    A practical, hands-on approach

    Full UK driving licence

    Why Join?

    You'll be joining a business with a substantial commercial portfolio rather than chasing work from site to site.

    You'll have the van, tools, phone and support to do your job properly, while the variety of sites means you'll continue developing your technical experience.

    And if you're the type of engineer who wants to earn more, overtime and performance incentives are available.

    If you're a good Pump Engineer and you're thinking about your next move, apply today and let's have a confidential conversation
