Senior Vehicle Technician

Our client, a reputable family-run independent garage in St Albans, Hertfordshire, is seeking an experienced Senior Vehicle Technician to join their well-established team. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician looking to progress within a stable, professional environment with competitive pay and potential bonus earnings.

Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm, with every other Saturday morning 9am to 2pm

Controlled workload offering long-term job securityDuties of the Senior Vehicle Technician:

Conduct diagnostics, including complex fault finding and repairs
Perform timing belt replacements, clutch repairs, servicing, and general vehicle maintenance
Assist with MOT testing where necessary
Manage vehicle repairs efficiently to ensure customer satisfaction
Maintain accurate service and repair records
Communicate effectively with team members and customers
Support workshop productivity and health & safety standards
Contribute to the smooth running of the workshopRequirements of the Senior Vehicle Technician:

Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician with strong diagnostic skills
Ability to undertake complex repairs confidently on multiple vehicle types
Excellent work ethic and dedication to quality standards
Full UK driving licence
Willingness to work flexible hours, including every other Saturday
Familiarity with modern diagnostic tools and techniques
