How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Salesforce Technician

    Location: Chorley, Lancashire
    Job Type: Permanent, Full Time
    Working Arrangement: Office-based

    The Opportunity

Indevor Group is looking for a Salesforce Technician to join our growing IT function at our Chorley office.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with around 2–3 years’ experience within Salesforce, CRM administration or systems support who wants more than a traditional support role.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys getting under the bonnet of systems – improving how Salesforce works, automating processes, solving problems and helping us get more from technology as the Group continues to grow.

You’ll take day-to-day ownership of our Salesforce platform while working closely with the Group IT Manager and teams across the wider business.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    *

Administer, maintain and support the Group’s Salesforce platform

    *

Manage users, profiles, roles, permissions and system access

    *

Configure objects, fields, page layouts, record types and validation rules

    *

Create and improve Salesforce reports and dashboards

    *

Build and maintain Salesforce Flows and automated processes

    *

Identify opportunities to reduce manual processes through automation

    *

Work with departments to understand requirements and develop practical Salesforce solutions

    *

Maintain data quality, including cleansing, imports, exports and duplicate management

    *

Support Salesforce integrations and troubleshoot data-flow issues

    *

Investigate Salesforce errors and resolve technical issues

    *

Support testing and deployment of new functionality and system enhancements

    *

Provide Salesforce guidance and support to users across the Group

    *

    Maintain technical and system documentation

    *

Provide wider IT support including Microsoft 365, hardware, software and user accounts

    *

Support employee onboarding and offboarding from a systems perspective

    *

Work with external IT and software providers when required

    *

Keep up to date with Salesforce developments and identify opportunities to improve how we work

    What We’re Looking For

    You’ll ideally have:

    *

Around 2–3 years’ experience within Salesforce, CRM, systems administration or IT support

    *

Hands-on experience administering Salesforce in a commercial environment

    *

Knowledge of Salesforce users, permissions, objects, fields, reports and dashboards

    *

Experience or knowledge of Salesforce Flow and automation

    *

Strong technical and analytical problem-solving skills

    *

Good understanding of data quality, integrity and security

    *

    Excellent attention to detail

    *

Confidence communicating technical information to non-technical users

    *

    Good Microsoft 365 knowledge

    *

A proactive mindset with a genuine interest in improving systems and processes

    *

Salesforce Administrator certification would be advantageous, but is not essential
