How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Line Leader
    We are the UK’s leading supplier of rope-grown mussels and cultivated Pacific oysters.
    Our farmers produce mussels and oysters of the highest quality from the pristine seas of the West Coast of Scotland and the Shetland Isles.
    Our shellfish are either prepared as fresh products or made into a superb range of ready-meal dishes for sale in supermarkets and other retail outlets.
    We believe the quality of our mussels and oysters lies in the passion our farmers have for shellfish farming and the real care and pride they take during the cultivation process. We are a co-operative, so our farmers engage in every part of the business.
    As we continue to grow, we require an experienced Line Leader to join the team at our state-of-the-art facility in Bellshill.
    Main Duties and Responsibilities:
    * Evaluate production plans and set up the production line accordingly.
    * Ensure all operations are carried out according to specifications and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

    * Maintain accurate records of line throughput, efficiencies, and order planning.
    * Train and supervise new production line workers.
    * Maintain a fully operational, safe, and tidy work environment.
    * Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
    * Provide routine progress updates and escalate concerns to the Production Manager.
    * Undertake training as outlined in the company’s training plans to develop relevant functional skills.
    * Adhere to the Company’s Health and Safety Policy and demonstrate a proactive approach to safety within factory areas.
    Main Requirements:
    * Experience as a Line Leader is preferred but not essential.
    * Understanding of product manufacturing, specifications, production standards, and industry regulations.
    * Proficiency in computer/tablet use and office software.
    * Strong leadership abilities.
    * Excellent organisational and time management skills.
    * Effective communication and teamwork skills.
    * Strong problem-solving capabilities.
    Other Desirable Skills:
    * Experience in Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) environments.
    * Access to personal transport is advantageous but not required, as the site is easily accessible by public transport.
    Working Hours:

    * 5:15 am – 14:30 pm
    Pay Rates and Overtime:
