Import Clerk

Time Appointments are working on behalf of a reputable and growing shipping company who are looking to appoint an experienced Import Clerk to join their expanding team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with previous experience within the shipping and import industry who is looking for a new challenge and the opportunity to further develop their knowledge and expertise.

Key Duties & Responsibilities Include:

* Liaise with internal and external teams to ensure the smooth and efficient movement of shipments.

* Coordinate shipments from the point of arrival through to final delivery.

* Arrange deliveries and coordinate transport bookings.

* Identify and resolve potential operational issues in line with company procedures.

* Ensure all shipments are handled in accordance with relevant company, customs and regulatory requirements.

* Provide a consistently high standard of customer service within a fast-paced environment.

Skills & Experience Required:

* Previous experience working within import operations, ideally within the shipping or freight forwarding industry.

* A strong understanding of UK customs regulations and import procedures.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.

* The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.

* A proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational issues.
