How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Electrician – Responsive Repairs Team
    Kensington & Chelsea, West London
    Competitive Salary
    Van & Fuel Card Provided
    Permanent Full-Time 39 Hours Per Week

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrician to join a leading social housing provider's Responsive Repairs Team, covering Kensington & Chelsea and the surrounding West London areas.

    This is a permanent position working 39 hours per week:

    Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm

    Friday: 8:00am – 3:30pm

    Key Responsibilities:
    Carrying out responsive electrical repairs and maintenance within occupied and void properties.

    Electrical fault finding, testing, inspection, and remedial works.

    Fixed wire testing and certification.

    Installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems up to 230v/415v.

    Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with current regulations.

    Accurately completing certificates, reports, and job documentation.

    Interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions.

    Delivering excellent customer service whilst working in residents' homes.

    Essential Qualifications:
    C&G 2365 or equivalent recognised electrical qualification.

    18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

    C&G 2391-52 (Inspection & Testing) or equivalent.

    Essential Skills & Experience:
    Qualified electrician with experience in domestic and commercial electrical works.

    Strong knowledge of electrical testing, inspection, installation, and maintenance.

    Ability to complete certification and documentation accurately.

    Experience working within social housing or responsive repairs environments is desirable.

    Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

    Full UK Driving Licence.
