How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Support Worker - Learning Disabilities (Female Only)

    Community Support | Somerset (BA4 & DT9)

    We are seeking an experienced female Support Worker to join a small, person-centred learning disabilities service supporting individuals within the community across Somerset.

    This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building long-term relationships and supporting people to live independently in their own homes and local community.

    Visa sponsorship is not available for this role - you must have the right to work in the UK in place to apply.

    Package

    * £14.11 per hour

    * Guaranteed 20 hours per week

    * Mainly evenings and weekends

    * Ongoing training and development

    * Small supportive team

    Responsibilities

    * Supporting adults with learning disabilities

    * Community access and daily living support

    * Assisting with personal care where required

    * Working to person-centred support plans

    * Building positive relationships

    * Liaising with families and professionals

    * Maintaining accurate records

    * Promoting dignity, choice and independence

    Requirements

    * Learning disabilities experience essential

    * Female applicants only due to service user requirements

    * Driver with own vehicle and business insurance

    * Comfortable travelling across BA4 and DT9

    * Available evenings and alternate weekends

    * Calm, reliable and person-centred approach

    * Right to work in the UK

    This is a community-based role supporting people across BA4 and DT9. Regular travel between visits is required.
