How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Are you an experienced Production Engineer on the hunt for a new role in the Rochdale area? If so, then we want to hear from you!
    We have a new opportunity with one of our longstanding clients, an international engineering company who dominate the market around the globe.

    About You
    * Machining biased apprenticeship up to HNC/HND level in Mechanical/Production Engineering
    * Experience of 4 and 5 axis machining techniques and CNC Lathes
    * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
    * Project management experience
    * Whist we need a good team player, you’ll also be comfortable working on your own initiative
    * Excellent communication skills are required as you’ll be dealing with lots of other people in the business
    About the role
    * The role of Production Engineer provides a support function to all areas of production
    * Your expertise will optimise and improve process capability and yield
    * You’ll provide support with routings, programmes, tooling, fixtures and technical support
    * You’ll provide support with BOM’s, production orders and costings
    * For this role, you’ll need to be conversant with Solidworks, CAD, CAM and SAP
