How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Pertemps Daventry are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our long-established clients based in Silverstone for an EMC Test Technician.
    This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading organisation working at the forefront of the motorsport industry. Whether you're newly qualified or have previous industry experience, full training and ongoing support will be provided to help you develop your career in a highly technical and rewarding environment.
    The RoleWorking alongside experienced engineers, you will support the testing, installation and maintenance of specialist EMC test equipment while ensuring all work is carried out to UKAS and company standards.
    Your responsibilities will include:

    Carrying out EMC testing on customer equipment under the guidance of qualified engineers.
    Setting up, monitoring and dismantling EMC test systems.
    Installing, commissioning and maintaining specialist test equipment.
    Recording accurate test and calibration results in accordance with company procedures.
    Assisting with laboratory housekeeping and equipment maintenance.
    Performing routine health and safety checks on electrical equipment.
    Reporting equipment faults and ensuring testing is completed within agreed timescales.
    Maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with UKAS quality standards.About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:

    An Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Electronic Engineering or an equivalent qualification. Relevant industry experience will also be considered.
    At least one year's industrial training or experience in a related electronics field is desirable, although newly qualified candidates are encouraged to apply as full training will be provided.
    Soldering skills for electrical and electronic components. Experience with SMT and discrete components is advantageous.
    Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
    Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce accurate technical reports.
    Strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.What's on Offer?
