How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Traffic Marshall / Vehicle Banksman – CPCS / NPORS needed in Penn, High Wycombe

    Job Description

    Munnelly Support Services is recruiting an experienced Traffic Marshall / Vehicle Banksman for a long-term construction project in Penn, near High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.

    You will work closely with the telehandler operator, supporting safe plant movements and material deliveries across site. This is an active, site-based role involving regular walking and standing throughout the working day, requiring concentration, clear communication and proven banksman experience.

    * Rate: £20.00 per hour CIS

    * Payment: Weekly

    * Start: Immediate

    * Duration: Over 12 months expected

    * Working days: Monday to Friday

    * Hours: 8:00am–6:00pm

    * Paid hours: 9.5 hours per day

    * Location: Penn, near High Wycombe

    Duties

    * Bank and guide the telehandler during movements around site, following the agreed safe system of work.

    * Work closely with the telehandler operator to coordinate movements between delivery, storage and working areas.

    * Maintain clear communication using agreed signals and radio communication where required.

    * Control pedestrian access around moving plant and keep designated routes clear.

    * Direct delivery vehicles and assist with safe access, positioning and reversing.

    * Monitor routes for obstructions and report hazards to site management.

    * Maintain barriers, signage and pedestrian segregation in line with the site traffic management plan.

    Requirements

    * Valid CPCS or NPORS Traffic Marshall / Vehicle Banksman qualification.

    * Proven construction site experience banking telehandlers, plant and delivery vehicles.

    * Confident communicating with plant operators, delivery drivers and site teams.

    * Strong awareness of pedestrian safety and the risks associated with moving plant.

    * Comfortable with an active outdoor role involving regular walking and standing.

    * Able to reliably commute to Penn for an 8:00am start, Monday to Friday.

    * Full PPE and a reliable, attentive approach to work.
