We are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in Ealing, starting upon successful clearance and continuing until the end of the current term. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, offering an excellent opportunity to gain further experience within a secondary school environment.
The Role
You will provide day-to-day support to students and teachers, helping pupils remain engaged, focused and confident in their learning. The successful candidate will be someone who is patient, proactive and able to build positive relationships with young people.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Supporting students with their learning across the curriculum
Working alongside teachers to help students access lessons effectively
Providing individual and small-group support where required
Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in the classroom
Helping students develop confidence, independence and learning skills
Supporting pupils who may require additional academic or pastoral assistance
Assisting with classroom activities and maintaining a positive learning environment
Following school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times
What We Are Looking For
To be considered, you should have:
Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within a school setting
Experience supporting students at secondary level is highly desirable
A confident, positive and patient approach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to work effectively as part of a school team
A genuine interest in supporting students to achieve their potential
A professional approach to safeguarding and student welfare
The ability to commit to 5 days per week
