How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Secondary Mathematics Teacher – Pinner

    Location: Pinner area
    Salary: £32,776–£47,839+
    Contract: Full-Time / Permanent
    Start Date: ASAP

    About the Role

    Supply Desk are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary Mathematics Teacher to join a successful and supportive school in the Pinner area.

    The successful candidate will have the opportunity to inspire and challenge students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5. You will deliver engaging and purposeful Maths lessons that develop students’ confidence, problem-solving abilities and enthusiasm for the subject.

    This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and ECTs looking to establish or further develop their teaching career within a positive, ambitious and supportive school environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Plan and deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons in line with the national curriculum
    Differentiate lessons effectively to meet the needs of all learners
    Monitor, assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and support
    Create a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment
    Contribute to curriculum development and wider departmental initiatives
    Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement and attendance
    Encourage students to develop confidence and independence in Mathematics
    Support students in achieving their academic potential
    The Ideal Candidate Will Have

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
    A degree in Mathematics or a related subject
    Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for teaching Maths
    Excellent classroom management and communication skills
    The ability to motivate, challenge and inspire young people
    A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
    A positive and flexible approach to working as part of a school team
