Packaging Artwork Coordinator

About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly organised and detail-focused Packaging Artwork Coordinator to join a growing food manufacturing business.
This is a fast-paced role where you will take ownership of packaging artwork projects from initial development through to final approval, working closely with internal teams, customers, suppliers, design agencies and printers.
You'll play a key role in ensuring packaging artwork is accurate, compliant, delivered on time and produced to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage packaging artwork projects from brief through to final approval, coordinating with Sales, Commercial, NPD, Technical, Marketing, customers and suppliers.
- Proof-read and approve packaging artwork, ensuring accuracy across legislation, ingredient declarations, barcodes, colour management and other key details.
- Follow NPD and artwork processes, ensuring all documentation is completed and maintained accurately and on time.
- Provide regular updates on project progress through meetings, Teams and email.
- Liaise with printers to understand print processes and ensure the best possible final print outcome.
- Check packaging samples against approved artwork, including print quality, colour and overall presentation.
- Request and manage barcodes for new artwork and carry out thorough barcode checks.
- Check barcodes on first deliveries of packaging to ensure they scan correctly.
- Maintain the company image library and ensure artwork images are accurately filed and accessible.
- Work with Marketing to keep images and packaging information up to date on Brandbank.
- Coordinate the despatch of packaging samples and colour swatches as required.
- Provide artwork images to Marketing and Management when required.
- Complete additional administrative duties and support wider business requirements as needed.
About You:
We're looking for someone who is highly organised, methodical and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- At least 2 years' experience within a food manufacturing or food-related business.
- Experience working with packaging artwork and legislation.
- Ideally, at least 1 year's packaging experience, including working with design houses, artwork, cutter guides and barcodes.
- Excellent attention to detail and a conscientious approach to your work.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- The ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- The confidence to work independently and take ownership of your workload.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly via email.
- Good working knowledge of SAP, Access and Excel.
- The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
