How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

WiHTL & Diversity in Retail is a collaboration community dedicated to advancing inclusion across the Hospitality, Travel, Leisure, and Retail sectors. Our organisation brings together member companies to share best practices, resources, and initiatives that foster equitable and inclusive workplaces. With a mission to positively impact 5 million employees by 2030, WiHTL & Diversity in Retail focuses on practical, measurable change. By working collectively, members can amplify the impact of individual efforts and create environments where everyone can thrive and feel valued.

We have spent years building leadership development programmes that help businesses across hospitality, travel, leisure and retail grow their talent from within. Now we're extending that same success into apprenticeships, giving learners a clear route to develop into leadership roles.

We're looking for an experienced tutor to join our growing team. You'll work across our Level 4 Governance Officer, Level 4 Retail Manager and Level 4 Hospitality Manager programmes, supporting learners to progress and complete with confidence. We are also developing L5 Learning & Development Consultant Business Partner and L3 Business Administration - so it's an exciting time to join us.

This role suits someone ambitious and driven. Someone prepared to go above and beyond, not just deliver the minimum. You'll manage a varied caseload, build strong relationships with employers and learners and help us build the talent pipelines that will shape our sectors for the future.

    What you'll be doing

    • Supporting a caseload of apprentices across multiple programmes.
    • Tracking progress and completion in line with funding and compliance requirements.
    • Keeping accurate records on our learning platform Bud.
    • Working closely with employer partners including household names in retail and hospitality.
    • Contributing ideas and energy as we build toward our Year 1 growth target.

    What we're looking for

    • A teaching or assessing qualification is essential for this role.
    • Experience in hospitality, retail or travel and leisure.
    • A self-starter who takes initiative and doesn't wait to be asked.
    • Strong communication skills with learners and employers.
    • Comfort with digital platforms (experience of Bud desirable)

    Why join us

You'll be joining at an exciting stage of growth, with real opportunity to shape how we deliver and to help build the next generation of talent in our sectors. We value initiative and reward people who roll their sleeves up and get stuck in. This is a fully remote role, with a requirement to attend occasional in-person delivery sessions.
