How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Head of Supply Chain Operations | B2B Interiors & Design Business | London

    The Client

We’re working with a founder-led B2B interiors and design business with an established international customer base across the UK, Europe and the US.

Currently around £4m in revenue, the business is entering its next phase of growth, with ambitions to reach £10m and continue expanding internationally, particularly across the US. A new brand is also launching, creating further opportunity to shape how the wider group operates as it grows

The founders remain closely involved and are looking for a senior operational leader to work alongside them as they build the infrastructure for this next stage.

This is a particularly good opportunity for someone who enjoys smaller, product-led businesses, working close to the detail and having genuine ownership across the operation.

    The Role

Reporting directly to the founders and sitting within the Senior Leadership Team, this is a broad, hands-on supply chain and operations role with ownership across suppliers, logistics, warehousing, stock and systems.

The business has grown organically to around £4m and is now looking to build towards £10m. You’ll be joining at a point where there is plenty to build, with real scope to improve how the operation works and shape the infrastructure needed for the next stage of growth.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Own the end-to-end supply chain and international movement of product, from suppliers through to warehouse and ultimately to clients
    • Manage key supplier and logistics relationships, including negotiating commercial terms and improving performance
    • Lead and develop the Warehouse Manager and wider warehouse team, overseeing inventory, fulfilment and operational standards
    • Improve supply chain processes, stock management and forecasting to reduce lead times and increase efficiency
    • Build scalable processes across the UK, US and European operations as the business continues to grow internationally
    • Own improvements to the company’s bespoke operational systems, working with developers to implement new functionality
    • Lead the operational set-up of the new brand, putting the right processes, SOPs, compliance and quality standards in place from day one
    • Act as the senior operational point of contact across the business, driving improvements and overseeing key projects, launches and operational initiatives

What We’d Like To See (Essential)

    • Strong supply chain and operational experience within a smaller, growing or founder-led business
    • Experience within textiles, fabrics, furniture, fashion, interiors, design, manufacturing or another physical product environment
    • Experience managing international supply chains, logistics and external partners
    • Experience working with physical products, stock, inventory and warehousing
    • A track record of improving processes and making operations more efficient and scalable
    • Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to use data to identify problems and make better decisions
    • Experience managing and developing people within a small operational function
    • Strong supplier and stakeholder management skills
    • A hands-on, commercially minded approach, comfortable moving between strategic thinking and operational detail

What We’d Like To See (Bonus)

    • Experience working within a B2B, trade or project-led business
    • Experience scaling an operation through a period of significant business growth
    • Experience working closely with founders or senior leadership in a growing SME
    • Experience across international markets, particularly the US or Europe
    • Procurement experience, particularly where this has involved building or strengthening supplier relationships
    • Experience introducing new systems, processes or technology to make an operation more scalable
    • Lean Six Sigma, CILT or equivalent operational qualification

    Location: London (Hybrid)

    Salary: £85,000–£95,000 + bonus + benefits

    Start date: ASAP
