How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Hybrid: 3 to 4 times in person per month

    Salary: £60,000 to £75,000


    We are looking for an experienced Data Coach to join our training team at Rockborne. This is a varied role combining technical training, content development and client-facing work across both our internal consultant cohorts and external client programmes.


    You will play a key role in developing our consultants through high-quality technical training, while also working directly with clients to understand their needs, design tailored learning programmes and deliver bespoke Data, Analytics and AI training. There will also be opportunities to support wider client projects and work with our commercial team to provide technical input into client briefs and potential solutions.


    This position will suit someone who combines strong technical knowledge with confident training and client-facing skills, and who enjoys the variety of moving between teaching, content creation, stakeholder engagement and commercial support.

    Key Responsibilities


    • Deliver engaging and interactive technical training to Rockborne’s internal consultant cohorts.
    • Deliver bespoke training programmes to external corporate clients, adapting content to different audiences, skill levels and business needs.
    • Work directly with clients to understand technical and training requirements.
    • Create and maintain training content, exercises, projects and learning resources.
    • Support the ongoing development and improvement of Rockborne’s technical curriculum.
    • Provide coaching, feedback and mentoring to learners throughout their development.
    • Support consultants in applying technical skills in real-world client environments.
    • Contribute to client-facing projects where appropriate.
    • Work with Rockborne’s commercial team to provide technical input into client briefs and help shape potential training or consulting solutions.
    • Independently manage training projects and priorities while collaborating closely with the wider coaching and commercial teams.


    Technical Skills


    Strong practical knowledge across several of the following areas:


    • Excel
    • SQL
    • Python
    • Power BI
    • Tableau
    • Data Modelling
    • Cloud Platforms, including AWS, GCP or Azure
    • AI and Generative AI


    Experience across Data Engineering, Data Science, BI, Data Warehousing, ETL or related areas would also be advantageous.


    Person Specification


    • Strong communication, presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage a range of audiences.
    • Previous experience delivering technical training, coaching, teaching or workshops.
    • Previous client-facing experience, with confidence working directly with external stakeholders.
    • Experience creating or developing technical learning content and training programmes.
    • Ability to simplify complex technical concepts and connect them to practical business use cases.
    • Strong stakeholder management skills.
    • A self-starter who can take ownership of projects and manage multiple priorities.
    • Commercial experience within Data, Analytics, BI, Data Science, Data Engineering or a related area would be advantageous.
    • Experience in consulting, corporate training or client delivery would be beneficial.
