How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Senior Product Engineer

    Location: Cardiff
    Salary: £57,000 + Bonus

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Product Engineer to join a leading manufacturing organisation currently experiencing an impressive period of growth, investment and expansion.

    This is a key engineering position within the site, taking ownership of a range of product lifecycle, development and improvement projects. You’ll work closely with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality and other cross-functional teams to support existing products, introduce improvements and successfully transfer new products and processes into manufacturing.

    The Role:

    As Senior Product Engineer, you will:

    * Lead and support product lifecycle engineering projects, from initial development through to implementation.

    * Drive product and process improvements, focusing on quality, reliability, manufacturability and performance.

    * Support the transfer and validation of new products and processes into manufacturing.

    * Work closely with R&D and cross-functional engineering teams on product changes and technical projects.

    * Lead structured problem-solving activities and root cause investigations.

    * Identify and deliver Continuous Improvement / Kaizen opportunities.

    * Provide technical engineering support to manufacturing and wider operational teams.

    * Support engineering documentation, validation and change-control activities.

    About You:

    We’re looking for an experienced Product Engineer or similar with a strong background within a manufacturing environment. You’ll ideally have experience across product lifecycle engineering, NPI/NPD, product development, validation or sustaining engineering.
