The Role
Position: English Lecturer
Location: Hull
Start date: As soon as possible until at least February Half Term
Hours: Part time, 17.5 hours per week
Pay: £20-£35 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

As an English Lecturer, your duties will include:
Planning and delivering engaging and effective English lessons.
Teaching students across a range of levels and abilities.
Delivering lessons in areas such as English language, literature, literacy, reading, writing and communication.
Preparing students for examinations, assessments and coursework.
Supporting learners to develop their reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.
Assessing student work and providing constructive feedback to support achievement and progression.
Monitoring and recording student progress, attendance and achievement.
Creating an inclusive, supportive and engaging learning environment.
Differentiating lessons and learning materials to meet the needs of individual students.
Supporting students with their academic, personal and professional development.
Encouraging learners to build confidence in their use of English and develop strong communication skills.
Working collaboratively with colleagues and the wider college team.
Ensuring teaching and learning meets relevant curriculum and awarding-body requirements.Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates will need:
An up-to-date DBS.
At least a Level 3 qualification in English or a relevant subject.
A recognised PGCE or Cert Ed.
Relevant teaching experience within Further Education or a similar educational setting.
Strong subject knowledge and excellent communication skills.
Effective classroom management skills.
A genuine passion for education and supporting stude
Have experience working within schools in the UK
Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
