How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Vetting & Data Entry Administrator – Royal Mail Peak Project

    Location: Pertemps Stoke
    Salary: £13.33 per hour
    Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
    Contract: Temporary – 12 weeks
    Start Date: ASAP

    Pertemps Stoke are looking for 2 Vetting & Data Entry Administrators to join our team and support our busy Royal Mail peak recruitment project.

    Working as part of the project team, you will be responsible for processing candidates who have been recruited for Parcel Sorter positions with Royal Mail, ensuring their details are accurately entered onto the relevant vetting system and that they are fully processed and ready to work.

    This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is highly organised, computer literate and has excellent attention to detail.

    The Role

    Once candidates have been recruited and their details passed across by the recruitment team, you will take responsibility for processing them through the vetting stage.

    Duties of this Vetting & Data Entry Administrator role:

    Processing candidate information onto the relevant vetting system

    Entering candidate details accurately and efficiently

    Checking information and documentation for completeness and accuracy

    Completing the required vetting and compliance checks

    Identifying missing or incorrect information

    Liaising with the recruitment team where further information or paperwork is required

    Updating candidate records and maintaining accurate databases

    Ensuring candidates progress through the process efficiently

    Working to project deadlines and targets

    Handling confidential candidate information appropriately

    Supporting the wider project team during the Royal Mail peak period

    Requirements of this Vetting & Data Entry Administrator role:

    Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

    Confident using computers and learning new systems

    Accurate and methodical when entering information

    Comfortable working with a high volume of data

    Able to follow processes and procedures

    Good at spotting errors or missing information

    A strong communicator and team player

    Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines

    Professional and reliable

    Flexible and willing to support the wider team when required

    Previous experience in recruitment, vetting, compliance, administration or data entry would be advantageous but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
