How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Stores Operative – Kettering
    £13.21 per hour (DOE)Monday–Friday, 08:30–16:30
    Are you an organised, hands-on warehouse professional who thrives on accuracy, teamwork, and keeping things moving? If stock control, logistics, and problem-solving are your strengths, this could be the role for you.
    We’re looking for a Spares Stores Operative to play a key role in managing spare parts, supporting projects, and ensuring smooth warehouse operations in Kettering.
    What You’ll Be Doing
    No two days are the same. Your responsibilities will include:
    Receiving, booking in, and maintaining stock using SERVICE GEENI and SICON systems

    Picking, packing, and despatching spare parts (UK & international), including photographic records

    Managing project spares for installation teams

    Liaising with accounts, project purchasing, suppliers, and third-party storage providers

    Controlling warranty returns and supplier repairs

    Carrying out weekly and quarterly inventory audits

    Expediting overdue or priority parts

    Producing reports and maintaining a clear audit trail

    Supporting warehouse KPIs, audits, and general administration

    Following all health & safety procedures

    You’ll also provide a 24-hour response for spare parts held at the external storage facility.
    What We’re Looking For

    GCSE/A Level standard education

    Forklift Truck Driving License

    Experience in stock control or warehouse operations

    Confident IT skills with order processing/database systems

    Fluent written and spoken English

    Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to prioritise effectively

    Strong communicator who works well with peers and stakeholders

    Proactive, reliable, and committed to getting the job done right

    This role has no direct reports, but you’ll be a vital link across multiple teams.
