How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Electrical Site Manager – Night Shift

    Location: St Albans, Hertfordshire
    Shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:00pm–3:00am
    Start Date: 21st September 2026
    Contract: Freelance
    Rate: £450–£550 per day

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Site Manager to join a major data centre project in St Albans on a freelance basis.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for an Electrical Site Manager with strong experience working on large-scale, technically demanding projects who is looking for a long-term opportunity on a high-profile data centre development.

    The Role

    Working as part of the site delivery team, you will take responsibility for overseeing electrical installation activities during the night shift, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required quality and programme.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    * Managing and coordinating electrical subcontractors and site teams.

    * Overseeing electrical installation and construction activities.

    * Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and programme requirements.

    * Maintaining high standards of health & safety and quality on site.

    * Coordinating with other site disciplines and the wider project team.

    * Monitoring progress and reporting any issues or delays.

    * Supporting testing, commissioning and handover activities where required.

    * Ensuring all works are completed to the required standards and project specifications.

    About You

    The ideal candidate will have:

    * Proven experience as an Electrical Site Manager / Electrical Supervisor on major construction projects.

    * Previous experience working on data centre, mission-critical, industrial or similarly complex projects, however candidates from all sectors will be considered

    * Strong knowledge of electrical installations and construction processes.

    * Excellent subcontractor management and coordination skills.

    * A strong understanding of health & safety requirements.

    * The ability to work independently and make decisions effectively during a night shift.

    * Relevant electrical/site management qualifications.

    * A proactive, organised and professional approach.

    Package & Opportunity

    * £450–£550 per day, depending on experience.

    * Freelance contract, CIS or Ltd

    * Monday–Thursday, 5:00pm–3:00am.

    * Based on a major data centre project in St Albans.

    * Target start date: 21st September 2026.
