How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Are you a passionate, resilient teacher who believes every child deserves the chance to thrive, whatever challenges they face? Machu Specialist Education is recruiting an SEMH Teacher on behalf of a welcoming specialist SEMH school in Hayes, Middlesex, supporting pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
    This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real, lasting difference in a nurturing, trauma-informed school that puts relationships, compassion and high expectations at the heart of everything it does.
    THE ROLE
    - Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils' EHCP outcomes and individual needs
    - Use trauma-informed, relational approaches to help pupils regulate, re-engage and build confidence
    - Create a calm, structured and predictable classroom that supports positive behaviour and progress
    - Work alongside a supportive team including the SENCO, therapists and allied health professionals
    - Line-manage teaching assistants to maximise outcomes for every pupil in your class
    WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
    - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
    - Experience teaching pupils with SEMH, SEND or other complex needs
    - A calm, consistent, empathetic approach and genuine passion for inclusive education
    - Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
    - Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (or hold one on the Update Service)
