How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Nottingham (with travel to local sites)

Are you an engaging, hands-on Systems Analyst looking to make a direct impact across a dynamic business? We are seeking a Systems Analyst to join our IT team based in Nottingham.

In this role, you will be key in delivering first- and second-line IT support, maintaining business-critical systems, and driving continuous improvement. You won’t just be behind a desk—you will actively embed yourself within regional teams, visiting local sites, engaging with employees, and helping us leverage technology to work smarter, simpler, and more efficiently.

    Key Responsibilities

    * IT Support & Troubleshooting: Provide robust 1st and 2nd line support across all IT systems, software, and equipment used throughout the organisation.

    * Site & Regional Engagement: Regularly visit local construction sites and attend regional forums (at least quarterly) to build strong relationships, gather feedback, and understand team requirements.

    * System Design & Enhancement: Analyse existing workflows to modify, enhance, or adapt systems, integrating new features to boost efficiency and productivity.

    * Client & External Systems: Work with customers and clients to manage and support access to key operational software and programs (e.g., Field View).

    * Continuous Improvement: Analyse call logs to identify trends and underlying issues, update the internal IT knowledge base, and host weekly touchpoints to continuously improve IT support.

    * Training & Upskilling: Deliver IT onboarding training for new starters to get them operational quickly and collaborate with Regional Directors to upskill regional teams.

    * Documentation: Keep detailed, accurate records of systems, updates, and user support requirements.

    What We Are Looking For

    * Technical Capability: Strong knowledge of business software, hardware, and 1st/2nd line IT support processes.

    * Communication & Engagement: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and strong working relationships with employees, regional leaders, and external clients.

    * Analytical Thinking: Ability to identify trends in IT issues, simplify complex working processes, and design practical IT solutions.

    * Proactive & Mobile: Based in Nottingham, willing and able to travel regularly to local sites and regional offices.

    * Training Ability: Confident in delivering clear, engaging IT training to individuals and groups.

    Why Join Us?

This role offers a varied mix of technical support, system improvement, and direct face-to-face interaction across our regional sites. You will have a real opportunity to shape how technology supports our day-to-day operations and helps drive business efficiency
