We are looking for a caring, committed, and experienced Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Rossendale. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of pupils who require additional support both academically and emotionally.
The Role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to support pupils with a range of special educational needs. You will help create a positive, inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued, supported and encouraged to succeed.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN.
Supporting children with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health needs.
Assisting with the delivery of tailored interventions and learning activities.
Promoting independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
Working collaboratively with teachers, parents and external professionals to support pupil progress.
Monitoring and recording pupil development and progress.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
Holds a relevant Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
Has previous experience supporting children with SEN in a school setting.
Demonstrates patience, empathy and excellent communication skills.
Has a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
Is proactive, reliable and committed to helping children thrive.
Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
