CNC PRESS BRAKE SETTER

PERMANENT OPPORTUNITY

PAY: £14.00 - £16.00 per hour + £21 nightshift allowance

HOURS: Nights (Sun – Thurs 22:00 – 06:00)

Our client is hiring for experienced CNC Press Brake Setters to join their nightshift fabrication team. This is a hands‑on role for skilled setters who can confidently operate CNC press brakes, interpret engineering drawings and produce high‑quality folded components to tight tolerances.

Key Responsibilities

* Set and operate CNC press brakes

* Read engineering drawings and technical specifications

* Select correct tooling and machine settings

* Produce accurate folded components to tight tolerances

* Complete first‑off and in‑process quality checks

* Use measuring equipment including verniers, rulers and angle gauges

* Adjust machine settings to maintain accuracy

* Work to production schedules and meet output targets

Skills & Experience

Essential

* Previous experience as a Press Brake Setter/Operator

* Confident setting and operating CNC press brakes

* Ability to bend a range of materials and thicknesses

* Strong ability to read engineering drawings

* Experience selecting tooling and adjusting machine settings

* Able to work accurately to tight tolerances

* Good understanding of fabrication processes

* Excellent attention to detail

* Reliable, positive attitude, strong work ethic

* Able to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable

* Experience with Amada, Bystronic, Trumpf or similar machinery

* Counterbalance forklift licence

* Crane/lifting equipment experience

* Fabrication or sheet metal background
