Building Services Team Leader

We have an exciting opportunity for a Building Services Team Leader to join a busy and expanding team at our client’s manufacturing facility in Burton Latimer.

As the Building Services Team Leader, you will play a key role in overseeing the delivery of building services and maintenance activities across the site. Leading a multi-skilled operational team, you will ensure that both planned and reactive maintenance tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You will coordinate day-to-day maintenance priorities, support client requirements, and drive a culture of service excellence, safety, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a team of skilled tradespeople delivering maintenance services across the site.

Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with agreed quality standards.

Act as the primary point of contact for the client, ensuring work requests are logged, monitored, and completed through the CMMS system.

Collaborate with the service desk to ensure work orders are accurately recorded, processed, and invoiced.

Coordinate the availability of materials, equipment, and external contractors to support maintenance activities.

Provide technical guidance and best-practice recommendations to the client, including assessing job requirements and preparing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) where required.

Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.

Identify opportunities to improve service delivery, operational performance, and customer satisfaction.

Skills & Experience

Proven experience within building maintenance, facilities management, or building services.

Previous experience leading or supervising a team of skilled tradespeople.

Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Demonstrable experience identifying and implementing service improvements.

Excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships at all levels.

Relevant trade qualification.

Health & Safety qualification.

Previous experience in a Building Services Team Leader, Supervisor, or similar leadership role.

Experience working within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
