How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEN Teaching Assistant - Secondary School - Windsor

    Academics Ltd are working with a dynamic and inclusive educational institute in Windsor committed to providing a nurturing environment where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We work collaboratively to support students with a range of SEN requirements, ensuring each child receives the tailored support they need to succeed.

    Key responsibilities:

    Provide direct support to students with SEN as a Teaching Assistant in the classroom, ensuring their engagement and participation in learning activities.
    Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
    Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to assess student progress and adapt strategies accordingly.
    Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and respected.
    Provide assistance with personal care and mobility for students with physical disabilities, as required.
    Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and colleagues.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
    A compassionate and patient approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
    Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or SEN support are advantageous but not essential.
