How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Teacher of Health and Social Care

    Location: Lambeth, South London
    Salary: £220 - £260 a day
    Contract: Full-time, Long-term - until the end of the academic year
    Teaching: Year 12 & Year 13

    Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Health and Social Care Teacher with experience teaching post-16 students?

    Our client school in Lambeth is seeking an experienced and passionate teacher to join their team and teach Health and Social Care to Year 12 and Year 13 students. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher with strong subject knowledge who is passionate about supporting students through their post-16 studies and helping them achieve their academic and career goals.

    The Role

    The successful candidate will:

    Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured Health and Social Care lessons for Year 12 and Year 13 students.
    Deliver lessons that effectively prepare students for their post-16 qualifications and assessments.
    Use a range of teaching strategies to engage students and meet different learning needs.
    Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted support where required.
    Develop students' subject knowledge, confidence and understanding of Health and Social Care.
    Maintain high expectations of student achievement, behaviour and engagement.
    Work collaboratively with colleagues to support effective curriculum delivery.
    Contribute positively to the wider school community and promote student wellbeing and inclusion.Person Specification

    The ideal candidate will:

    Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience.
    Have strong subject knowledge and experience teaching Health and Social Care at post-16 level, ideally Year 12 and Year 13.
    Have experience with relevant Health and Social Care qualifications and assessment requirements.
    Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills.
    Be able to engage and motivate students at Key Stage 5.
    Have a strong understanding of assessment and be able to support students in achieving their academic potential.Why Join?
