How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful security company who specialise in Security / Access Control Systems to some of the largest Utility companies across the UK as part of the National Grid Technology Framework, to join as an ambitious CCTV / Access Control Project Engineer and help to develop the business during an exciting phase of growth.

    UK Travel is a requirement of the role, so a full driving licence is mandatory.

    Essential Competencies:

    You will be an experienced CCTV Engineer / Access Control / Security Systems Engineer; a Project Engineer, with Electrical qualifications / CCTV / Access Control / Security Lighting Installation / Servicing/ Maintenance experience alongside excellent communication / customer facing / IT skills and a good understanding of PID Systems.

    Your varied and challenging Security Systems Engineer role will take you to multiple Industrial sites / National Grid / LV/HV/GIS Sub Stations / Power Generating Stations / Gas Terminal’s / MOD Infrastructures across the UK.

    You will be an integral part of the Engineering team, ensuring the works are carried out in a safe, diligent, professional and timely manner.

    Role & Responsibilities:

    As a CCTV / Security Systems Project Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that the Integrated Security Systems and ElectroAcoustic Absorbers are installed, commissioned and tested in accordance with the relevant specifications and delivered to planned timescales.

    Throughout the project lifecycle, your duties will involve:

    * Engaging with the design team.

    * Assisting with engineering input to the detailed design process.

    * Producing, reviewing and issuing RAMS and associated safety document requests.

    * Arranging site surveys with client.

    * Ensuring survey data is captured and recorded as per associated QA process.

    * Supporting the Contracts Manager/Planner with commercial input and planning.

    * Raising RFI’s/TQ’s to ensure compliance to the relevant specifications.

    * Attending design review, site progress, coordination and integration meetings.

    * Monitoring construction progress.

    * Reporting to the Contracts Manager/Planner for programme updates.

    * Coordinating design changes during construction.

    * Commissioning of integrated security systems.

    * Handover of the security solution to the client.

    As well as a competitive salary and company vehicle, you will be provided with a laptop and mobile, annual pay reviews, pension and free onsite parking.

    * All accommodation paid for (during overnight stays)

    * Working away allowance (£40 per night)

    * Standby call-out payment (£75 per day).

    HOURS: Typically Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5.00pm, but some flexibility may be required due to the nature of the projects
