Main Duties:
As a Group Accountant, your main duties include:
* Consolidating financial results from UK and overseas divisions into the group’s accounts
* Preparing monthly and statutory reporting for a range of stakeholders, including senior leadership and banking contacts
* Partnering closely with Finance Directors and finance teams across the wider international group
* Delivering insight and analysis to the Board to support major commercial and strategic decisions, including M&A and funding activity
* Helping to develop and improve group reporting systems in collaboration with external IT providers
* Liaising with external advisors on wider financial reporting projects
* Supporting newly acquired businesses as they integrate into group finance processes
* Taking ownership of head office accounts

What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
* ACA/ACCA qualified – essential
* Technical knowledge of accounting frameworks such as IFRS and FRS – essential
* A background in either practice or industry – candidates moving from practice for the first time are welcome to apply
* Experience with statutory accounts and consolidation is desirable but not essential
* A pragmatic, team-focused approach, with a genuine commitment to supporting the wider team’s goals
