How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEN Teaching Assistant - Specialist Primary School

    Location: Brent, North West London
    Salary: £95-£115 per day
    Contract: Full-time, long-term
    Start Date: ASAP

    Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a highly regarded specialist primary school in Brent.

    The school supports pupils aged 4-11 with a range of special educational needs, particularly autism and communication and interaction needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and wants to develop their skills within a specialist setting.

    The role

    As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and the wider support team to provide tailored support to pupils both in and outside of the classroom.

    You will be supporting pupils with their learning, communication, social development and emotional wellbeing, while helping to create a calm, structured and inclusive environment.

    The role may involve supporting pupils with:

    Autism / ASC
    Communication and interaction needs
    Sensory needs
    Complex learning needs
    Social, emotional and behavioural needs
    Personal care where required

    The ideal candidate

    The school is looking for someone who is:

    Experienced working with children or young people with SEND
    Ideally experienced within a specialist or SEN school setting
    Confident supporting pupils with autism and communication needs
    Patient, nurturing and resilient
    Able to build strong relationships with pupils
    Comfortable working as part of a wider multidisciplinary team
    Proactive and willing to get involved in all aspects of school lifeSchool-based experience is essential, although candidates with strong transferable experience supporting children with additional needs may also be considered.
