How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Nights Printer No. 2
    Location: Dagenham, Essex
    Salary: £29,000 per annum - Overtime: Paid at Time and a Half
    Pin Point Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established print manufacturing business based in Dagenham for a Printer No. 2 to join their permanent night shift team.
    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced print professional looking to develop their career with a modern print manufacturer operating industry-leading Heidelberg equipment. Working closely with the Print Minder, you will play a key role in ensuring production runs efficiently while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
    The Printer No. 2 is responsible for supporting the Print Minder with the efficient operation of the printing press, ensuring materials are prepared, production runs smoothly, and the highest standards of quality are maintained throughout each shift.
    This role is ideal for someone with lithographic printing experience who is looking to progress their career within a supportive and professional manufacturing environment.
    Key Responsibilities
    * Assist the Print Minder with the set-up and operation of Heidelberg XL 106 printing presses.
    * Prepare paper, plates, inks and consumables ready for production.
    * Monitor print quality throughout production runs and report any issues promptly.
    * Support press make-readies and job changeovers to minimise downtime.
    * Ensure materials are supplied efficiently to keep production running.
    * Carry out routine cleaning and basic maintenance of printing equipment.
    * Remove finished work and prepare the press for subsequent jobs.
    * Maintain high housekeeping and health & safety standards.
    * Complete production paperwork accurately when required.
    * Work collaboratively with the wider production team to meet production targets.
    Essential Requirements
    * Previous experience within a lithographic print manufacturing environment.
    * Experience working with Heidelberg XL 106 presses.
    * Knowledge of CutStar and coating units
    * Good understanding of print production processes.
    * Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
    * Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
    * Reliable, motivated and willing to learn.
    * Able to work permanent night shifts.
    * A proactive attitude with a willingness to progress within the business.
