How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Job Title: Social Media & Content Creator

Location: Harlow, Essex - Office & site based

    Salary: £28k - £35k Depending on Experience

    Job Type: Permanent, Full

    About us

SheaWorks is a fast-growing, family-run electrical and building services contractor working with some of the UK's leading property, managing agent and commercial organisations.

We are looking for a confident, creative and outgoing Social Media & Content Creator to join our team full-time.

We don't want corporate, boring social media.

We want someone who can capture the real personality behind SheaWorks - our engineers, our office team, the jobs we attend, the chaos, the laughs and everything that happens in between.

You'll need to be confident both behind AND in front of the camera, full of ideas and happy to get involved.

One day you could be creating funny, relatable content with the office team; the next you could be heading into London to meet one of our engineers on site and film a day in their life.

    What You'll Be Doing

You'll take ownership of SheaWorks' social media presence and create regular, engaging content across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and LinkedIn.

    Your role will include:

Planning, filming, editing and posting social media content
    Regularly appearing in content yourself
Creating funny and relatable office content with the SheaWorks team
Travelling to jobs and meeting our engineers on site to capture real-life content
Filming project transformations, behind-the-scenes footage and completed works
Creating "day in the life" content with our engineers
Coming up with challenges, trends, interviews and entertaining video ideas
Creating educational content and simple electrical/property tips
Interviewing engineers and team members on camera
Keeping up with TikTok, Instagram and social media trends and adapting them for SheaWorks
Producing Reels, TikToks, Stories, photographs and other short-form content
    Editing videos ready for posting
    Writing captions and scheduling posts
Responding to comments and helping grow our online community
Creating more professional content for LinkedIn alongside our fun social content
Capturing company milestones, new starters, apprentices, training, team events and achievements
Helping build the personalities of our engineers and office team online
Tracking what performs well and creating more of the content our audience actually engages withWho We're Looking For

We're looking for personality as much as experience.

    You'll ideally be someone who:

Is naturally confident and not camera shy
Has a good sense of humour
Is comfortable approaching people and getting them involved
Understands what makes TikTok and Instagram content entertaining
Can spot content opportunities without constantly needing to be told what to film
Is creative and constantly thinking of new ideas
Can film and edit short-form video to a high standard
Is organised enough to maintain a consistent content schedule
Is comfortable working in a busy office environment
Is happy travelling to sites across London, Essex and surrounding areas
Can switch between funny, informal content and polished professional content when needed
Understands that sometimes the best-performing content isn't perfectly polished - it's real, relatable and entertainingExperience using platforms or software such as CapCut, Canva, Adobe, TikTok and Instagram would be beneficial.

Experience within construction or electrical services is not essential - we'll teach you that.

We'd much rather find someone with the right personality, creativity and understanding of social media.

    The Opportunity

SheaWorks is a growing, family-run electrical and building services business with a large team of engineers working across London, Essex and surrounding areas.

    There's always something happening.

We want someone to come in and make our social media feel completely different from the typical construction company.

We want people to follow SheaWorks even if they don't currently need an electrician.

We want to show the personalities behind the business, create content people relate to and laugh at, showcase the work our team carries out and build a recognisable online brand.

You'll have a huge amount of creative freedom.

If you've got an idea and think it'll work, we want you to try it.

    Important

This is not a remote social media role.

A huge part of the job is being around the SheaWorks team, capturing spontaneous content and getting out on site with our engineers.

You'll be based from our Harlow office and regularly travel to sites to create content.

You'll also need to be comfortable appearing regularly on SheaWorks' social channels yourself.

    How to Apply

Don't just send us a standard CV.

Show us what you can do.

Send us your CV along with your TikTok, Instagram, portfolio or examples of content you've created.

We may ask you to send us a short video introducing yourself and telling us why you think you'd be perfect for SheaWorks, something to really get our attention!

We care just as much about your personality, ideas and creativity as we do about what's written on your CV.

Candidates with experience of; Social Media Manager, Content Creator, Social Media & Content Specialist, Digital Content Creator, Social Media Coordinator, Content & Social Media Executive, Digital Content & Social Media Manager, Social Media Strategist, Content Marketing Specialist, Social Content Manager will also be considered for this role
