How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Mechanical Project Engineer
    - Data Centre project
    - Ideally Data Centre experience, but can look at Mission Critical, MEP, infrastructure, construction background
    - £70k - £80k &, bonus, 22 day holiday, accommodation, Mon - Fri working week

You may have heard, but that data centre world is on the crest of a wave…

If ever there was a sector to be in, it is the data centre sector with billions invested all around Europe. With so much money being spent on some of the most exciting projects across the world, the world as we know it is evolving around us. But with all this excitement, the M&E has to be perfect in these facilities or else they just won’t work.

On that basis, we are looking for a Mechanical Engineer on a hyperscale data centre build in the Northeast A project that is due to go on for years on 1 of the biggest projects of its kind across the UK.

So a chance to use your current expertise, add to that experience & skillset and leave your mark on the Data Centre revolution. Something to tell the grandchildren…

    The person:
We are open here – ideally we’d like Data Centre experience, but we can look at sharp mechanical professionals who have worked in Mission Critical before (so MEP, pharma, construction, power stations etc).

So it could be a perfect way into this lucrative new world to evolve your skillset in Data Centres or you can use your existing Data Centre knowledge and bring it to a hyperscale long-term project.

Getting the right “person” which is what we’re about – someone who wants to really add value to this huge, long-term project.

    The role:
As this data centre is constructed and delivered, we need the engineering geniuses to make sure it all “works” stage by stage.

This will be supporting and coordinating the delivery of the electrical works into this project, working with the wider team to make sure all is on track and all is up to the quality standards needed.

    What next?
Sound like an opportunity that appeals? Simply hit apply and we can run through in more detail. Look forward to hearing your story…
