How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Support Worker

    At One to One Support Services, we are dedicated to providing a customised and high-quality service for individuals with additional needs. Our mission is to support our clients in their own homes, empowering them to access learning and leisure opportunities within the local community, and to lead as independent a life as possible. We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated Care Support Workers to join our team. 

    Key Responsibilities:

    Assist clients in enhancing their communication skills, ensuring constructive and appropriate communication at all times.
    Advocate for clients when necessary, upholding their rights to privacy, dignity, and respect while reporting any safeguarding concerns.
    Maintain accurate and up-to-date records regarding the client's development and wellbeing while actively participating in service review meetings.
    Implement individual care plans in alignment with each client’s culture, gender, and age, providing support for leisure activities and appointments.
    Maintain high standards of personal presentation and hygiene, adhering to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
    Be available for work across a flexible schedule, including weekends and night duties as needed.
    Assist and support with personal care as per training and the client’s support / care plan, with a focus on providing compassionate care.

    Ideal Candidate:

    Previous experience in care or support roles is preferable.
    Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
    A compassionate and patient approach to support clients with varying needs.
    Flexibility in working hours and adaptability to changing client requirements.
    Commitment to upholding client dignity, privacy, and rights.
    Ability to work independently and as part of a team while complying with organisational protocols.
    Willingness to engage in ongoing training and development opportunities.
