How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We are looking for a confident, organised and values-driven Team Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of our group of supported living services in Tewkesbury, supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs.
    This is a varied and rewarding role where you will lead a dedicated staff team, work closely with families and external professionals, drive high standards and make a genuine difference to the lives of the people we support.
    About the role
    As Team Manager, you will take ownership of the safe, effective and person-centred running of your allocated service or services. You will provide visible leadership, support staff to perform at
    their best and ensure that people receive consistent, high-quality support based on their individual needs, choices and aspirations.
    Your responsibilities will include:
    * Leading, motivating and developing Team Leaders, Senior Support Workers and Support Workers
    * Managing staff rotas and maintaining safe and effective staffing levels
    * Completing supervisions, appraisals, probation reviews and performance management
    * Monitoring service quality and completing audits across care records, medication, finances, health and safety and support planning
    * Overseeing staff training, induction and competency
    * Managing incidents, accidents, complaints and safeguarding concerns
    * Ensuring support plans and risk assessments remain accurate and up to date
    * Promoting independence, dignity, choice, inclusion and meaningful community participation
    * Developing positive and professional relationships with the people we support and their families
    * Working closely with social workers, commissioners, healthcare teams and other external professionals
    * Attending reviews and providing clear, accurate information about people’s support, outcomes and risks
    * Monitoring commissioned and delivered support hours
    * Leading staff meetings and ensuring agreed actions are completed
    * Participating in the on-call rota.
    This is primarily a management and leadership position. You may occasionally provide direct support where operationally necessary, but your main focus will be maintaining effective oversight and continuously improving the service.
    About you
    We are looking for someone who:
    * Holds a relevant Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or above
    * Has experience of working within adult social care
    * Understands person-centred support and the needs of adults with learning disabilities, autism or mental health needs
    * Has strong leadership and staff-management skills
    * Can confidently manage rotas, staffing pressures and competing priorities
    * Understands safeguarding, risk management, medication and quality assurance
    * Is comfortable investigating incidents and addressing areas of poor practice
    * Can build positive working relationships with families, commissioners, social workers, healthcare teams and other professionals
    * Communicates clearly, sensitively and professionally
    * Is organised, accountable and committed to following actions through to completion
    * Can remain calm, make sound decisions and provide clear direction
    * Is passionate about helping people achieve meaningful outcomes and live the lives they choose
