How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

PILING WELDER / FABRICATOR – UK WIDE
If you’re an experienced piling welder who enjoys variety, getting out on site and working on serious kit, this could be a great opportunity.
Piling Recruitment Group (PRG) is recruiting for an experienced Piling Welder / Fabricator to join an established piling contractor working on an exciting portfolio of projects across the UK.
Our client works with a strong portfolio of blue-chip clients, delivering piling projects across a variety of sectors and locations. As a result, no two weeks are necessarily the same – you could be repairing equipment in the yard one week and travelling to support a major UK project the next.
Previous experience welding and repairing piling equipment is essential for this position.
    THE ROLE
This is a hands-on and varied position covering the repair, maintenance and fabrication of specialist piling equipment, including:
    • Repairing and modifying piling casings
    • Hard facing and repairing piling augers
    • Welding and fabrication repairs to piling rigs and associated machinery
    • General fabrication, modifications and maintenance
    • Travelling to piling projects throughout the UK to carry out site repairs
    • Supporting the yard and workshop when not required on site
We’re not looking for someone who needs to be given a job list every morning.
When you’re back in the yard, you’ll be trusted to manage your own workload, identify what needs attention and make sure equipment is repaired, maintained and ready for the next project.
    WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
    • Previous experience welding and repairing piling equipment is essential
    • Strong experience with casings, augers and piling machinery
    • A proactive, self-motivated approach
    • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
    • Willingness to travel throughout the UK and lodge away when required
    • Full UK driving licence
    WHAT’S ON OFFER
    • Permanent, long-term position
    • 50-hour working week
    • Weekly pay
    • Salary/rate dependent on experience
    • All accommodation provided when working away
    • Daily food allowance when lodging away
    • Variety between site and yard-based work
    • Opportunity to work on specialist piling equipment across major UK projects
If you’re an experienced piling welder looking for something more varied than being stuck in the same workshop every day, we’d like to hear from you.
