How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: Quality Professional, Subsea

    Location: Ulverston, Cumbria

    Pay Rate: £22 - £25 per hour Umbrella

    Contract length: 12 months +

    Our client is seeking a dynamic Quality Professional to join their division, where innovative quality management meets cutting-edge technology. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in enhancing quality performance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation.

    Position Overview:

    In this role, the Quality Professional will support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality concepts, tools, and procedures within the business. Operating within an agile and Lean-oriented Quality Management System, this position is essential for ensuring quality requirements, risks, and controls are effectively integrated into processes and ways of working.

    Key Responsibilities & Duties:

    Quality Management System Implementation: Drive the development and improvement of quality concepts and procedures to align with business needs.
    Promote Quality Culture: Collaborate with management and teams to cultivate an open and proactive quality environment.
    Risk-Based Quality Management: Guide the identification and control of quality risks throughout relevant processes.
    Customer Experience Focus: Monitor and enhance customer satisfaction, translating insights into actionable improvements.
    Data-Driven Quality Transparency: Provide clear visibility of quality performance and trends through data analysis and dashboards.
    Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Utilise data and structured improvement methods to enhance business quality performance.
    Standards and Compliance Assurance: Ensure understanding and implementation of relevant quality standards and legal requirements.
    Lean and Agile Coaching: Lead and support Lean and agile improvement activities using recognised methods.
    Stakeholder Collaboration: Facilitate effective cooperation with internal and external stakeholders to address quality requirements.
    Quality Network Coordination: Promote alignment and knowledge sharing across national and international quality networks.Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience:

    A degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Business Improvement, or a related field.
    Proven experience in Quality Management, Engineering, or Continuous Improvement, preferably within engineering or technically regulated sectors such as Subsea, Oil & Gas, Energy, Automotive, Aerospace, or Defence.
    Familiarity with ISO 9001 and other relevant quality standards.
    Strong analytical skills for data analysis and trend identification.
    Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to influence across different levels of the organisation.
