How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Temporary Customer Service Administrator

    Location: On-site
    Duration: 3-4 months
    Start Date: Late September 2026
    Pay Rate: £14.50 per hour
    Working Hours: Monday-Thursday, 8.30am-5.00pm and Friday, 8.30am-2.30pm
    Flexible Hours: Monday-Thursday 9.00am-5.00pm and Friday 9.00am-2.30pm may also be considered
    Parking: Free on-site parking available

    The Opportunity

    We are looking for a Temporary Customer Service Administrator to join our Customer Services team for an initial 3-4 month period, starting in late September 2026.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced customer service administrator who is highly IT literate, organised and confident working across multiple systems. Experience within the manufacturing sector would be advantageous, although this is not essential.

    You will work closely with the Customer Services, Sales, Warehouse, Operations and Regulatory Affairs teams to ensure customers receive a high level of service and that orders, deliveries and related administration are managed accurately and efficiently.

    Key Responsibilities

    Provide day-to-day customer support by telephone and email, responding to account queries promptly and professionally.
    Manage and assist with sales orders, purchase orders and associated documentation, ensuring customer expectations are met.
    Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information across relevant internal systems.
    Monitor and follow up delivery discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
    Maintain accurate records of consignments, ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements and internal audit standards.
    Support the Sales team by identifying potential opportunities with existing customers and providing relevant feedback.
    Develop a strong understanding of the company's products and services.
    Liaise with transport providers regarding export consignments, including reviewing rates and ensuring appropriate load/product mixes.
    Deal with day-to-day transport issues and monitor service levels against agreed KPIs.
    Work closely with the Warehouse team to ensure orders are processed and dispatched within required timescales.
    Coordinate the dispatch of customer samples.
    Work with Regulatory Affairs and Operations to resolve customer complaints effectively.
    Identify opportunities for process improvements within Customer Services and Logistics.
    Manage workload effectively, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and within agreed timescales.
    Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and internal departments.

    About You

    We are looking for someone who is:

    IT savvy and confident learning and working across different systems.
    Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
    An experienced customer service professional, ideally with 2-3 years' experience in a similar environment.
    Confident using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
    A strong communicator with excellent customer service skills.
    Comfortable handling multiple tasks and priorities in a busy environment.
    A proactive problem-solver who enjoys finding ways to improve processes.
    A team player who is equally comfortable working independently.
    Ideally experienced within manufacturing, logistics, transport, freight forwarding or a sales environment - although sector experience is not essential.
