Key Responsibilities:
Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
Clean and sanitise toilets, staff areas, and kitchen spaces
Empty bins and dispose of waste safely and responsibly
Restock cleaning and janitorial supplies
Report any maintenance or repair issues promptly
Follow agreed cleaning schedules and routines
Operate cleaning machinery where required
Support occasional outdoor cleaning duties, including grit spreading during adverse weather
Always adhere to health and safety and hygiene protocols
What We're Looking For:
Essential:
Previous experience in a similar cleaning role
Ability to work independently and use your own initiative
Strong communication skills and reliability
Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the service
Awareness of appropriate use of cleaning equipment and products
Ability to carry out the physical duties of the role with or without reasonable adjustment
Additional Information:
This role does not include direct line management responsibilities
The role is based onsite and primarily indoors, with some outdoor duties as required
The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check as part of the pre-employment process
All staff are expected to comply with policies on health and safety, safeguarding, and equality, and to maintain positive and professional relationships with staff, students, and visitors
