A welcoming and well-organised primary school in Greenwich is seeking a confident and adaptable PPA Cover Teacher to provide high-quality teaching across the school.
This varied role is ideal for a teacher who enjoys working with different year groups. You will deliver planned lessons across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 while class teachers receive their statutory planning, preparation and assessment time. The school has established schemes of work, clear routines and supportive phase leaders to ensure continuity for both pupils and staff.
Responsibilities
• Delivering engaging lessons from existing plans
• Providing PPA cover across different primary year groups
• Adapting activities for pupils with different abilities and needs
• Maintaining positive behaviour and established classroom routines
• Assessing pupils’ understanding and providing feedback to class teachers
• Working effectively with teaching assistants and year-group teams
• Creating a safe, inclusive and purposeful learning environment
• Following the school’s curriculum, behaviour and safeguarding policies
Requirements
• UK Qualified Teacher Status
• Recent teaching experience within a UK primary school
• Good knowledge of the primary national curriculum
• Confidence teaching across more than one primary phase
• Strong classroom and behaviour-management skills
• The ability to follow plans while adapting teaching when necessary
• A flexible, organised and professional approach
• An enhanced DBS check, or willingness to complete one
