General Assistant
Location: Wimborne Minster
Salary: £12,054 per annum
Vacancy Type: Permanent
We’re looking for a reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic General Assistant to join our catering team.
Working as part of a friendly team, you’ll help ensure our catering and service areas are kept clean, safe and well-presented, while supporting the smooth delivery of food and beverage services.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Maintaining high standards of cleanliness across catering areas
* Assisting with food and beverage service, clearing tables and servery areas
* Washing kitchen utensils and crockery
* Supporting basic food preparation and stock replenishment
* Completing cleaning rotas and checklists
* Reporting any equipment issues or spillages
* Following health, safety and hygiene procedures
* Supporting and coaching new team members
* Attending relevant training and working flexibly across the school site when required
We’re looking for someone who:
* Has good literacy and numeracy skills
* Has previous experience in a similar environment (desirable)
* Has excellent communication and attention to detail
* Can follow instructions and work effectively under pressure
* Is a positive team player with a willingness to learn
* Takes pride in their work and can meet deadlines and targets
* Is flexible and reliable
* Holds a full driving licence for full-time positions
